International Women's Day ...
International Women's Day has said to be a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future by IWD. Today I took the time to do some research and blog about a woman who changed fashion. As we all may know Coco Chanel is acclaimed for "the little black dress" menswear-inspired fashions, her signature perfume Chanel No. 5 and of course her personal views. She became well known for her cut edge style in the 20th century. Chanel's ideas were inspired by her own lifestyle and on how she believed women should act, dress and look. But it wasn't all dandy for this sassy lady, Chanel's success had gained great recognition which I personally feel was due to tough childhood. The challenges of her early life inspired Chanel to live and be who she wanted. With great determination and a small clientele this independent woman had the creativity needed to succeed. Today her legacy still continues and her fans still admire the young lady who paved the way and inspired many designers to be.
